ACADEMIC HEALTH PROFESSION ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (HPEP) is for underserved
minority high school students in grades 11th and 12th. The program engages serious-minded
students interested in Health Professions which include: Physicians, Dentistry,
Advance Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. This is a multi-partnership
a program utilizing surrounding academic and community settings such as The Methodist
Hospitals, Indiana University Northwest, Purdue University Calumet, Community Health Net
and Marram Health Clinics, as well as, various physician and dentist’s offices
This 5-days program will have a maximum of 60 students.
The remaining spots will be reserved for 20 students interested in advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Preparatory College Skills are taught.
Fee waiver available for hardship
Requirements: Transportation not provided for students
– Underserved Minority Students (African American, Hispanic, Native Indian)
– Transcripts are required (GPA must be greater than 2.5)
– Total maximum students = 60
